We look forward to speaking with you.
Lead Surgical Assistant and Implant Coordinator
A little known fact about me is that I am a trained dentist from the Philippines, where I completed my BDS. Initially when I came to the US I took on a position as a surgical assistant in New York City where I worked with many famous oral surgeons. After becoming a mother, I wanted to raise my children in the best possible environment, which brought me to Houston. My daughter who is now 25 and my son who is now 21 are the joy of my life. I have been with the practice for 11 years and worked alongside Dr. James Jeffries for ten years. After meeting Dr. Khalid and his enthusiasm for patient care I elected to continue working with him and I can assure you we have not missed a beat! In my free time I enjoy gardening with my husband and shopping. Dentistry and caring for our patients has become my passion!
Lead Surgical Assistant
I’ve been with the practice for 6 years and my knowledge of dentistry has increased exponentially from when I started. I love greeting patients, getting to know them, and caring for them. I’m able to inject some more youth and fun into the office and am the only one allowed to tease Dr. Khalid for his singing. I’m fluent in Spanish as well as English and enjoy doing various activities within the community. It is my goal to make sure our patients are cared for in a matter that is second to none and they enjoy their experience as much as possible!
I graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry Dental Hygiene Class in 1993. I began my career with Dr. Jeffries 22 years ago and have continued my career feeling rejuvenated and motivated working alongside Dr. Khalid. I work closely with our Periodontal Team to educate our patients on the etiology of Periodontal Disease, rationale for treatment recommendations, and the importance of ongoing maintenance. It is my hope we are able to inspire our patients to care for their oral and systemic health at least as much as we do, so we can help prevent gum disease and subsequent tooth loss. When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling, cooking fun meals, playing the piano, and exercising.
Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator
I am a native Houstonian, and I love my hometown! I attended Spring Branch Senior High School as well as the University of Houston. I am blessed to be the mother of four amazingly unique sons! I am also blessed to have had a lifelong connection with dentistry, as my Dad was a general dentist in Houston. I was privileged and honored to have worked under his guidance as his office manager for approximately 16 years, and continued in this capacity with the practice after his passing in 2011. I truly enjoy helping patients, and I hope to extend a kind and understanding manner in addition to facilitating a smooth and deeply satisfactory experience in Dr. Khalid's practice.
